What an excellent doctor working with a brilliant team who are all patient focused I had a corneo plastic procedure The resoults were amazing and by day 2 my vision was as good as i had 30 years ago. on the day of the procedure i did have to wait around longer than id have hoped But someones got to be last. Its the results that count and i could not have happier Thanks to the whole team.

I recently underwent Cataract surgery carried out by this very caring doctor. I was immediately put at ease and felt very confident in his ability and that of his team. He took time to explain the procedure and to listen to my comments and concerns. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gentleman and his team.

Mr Ratnarajan replaced lenses in both my eyes with multi function lenses as I was wearing glasses for both long and short distance. The two procedures took place a week apart. I was nervous of course, having my eyes operated on, but there was no need. The lead in care was fantastic, I arrived at the hospital an hour or so before each procedure, had my own room which my daughter and her baby were also welcomed to use and received solicitous attention from the pre-op team. The operation itself lasted only 20 minutes, I was kept advised the whole time and encouraged by Mr Ratnarajan who told me how it was going. Afterwards I had a lovely cup of tea and a sandwich, the team went through after care, drops etc and after an hour I could leave. I returned the following week for the procedure to be repeated on my other eye. 10 days later and I am feeling fine, using the drops as prescribed and seeing the world as a brighter more colourful and glasses free place!. This is a life changing experience, don't be nervous, if you're at the 'thinking about it' stage, take the plunge. I wish I'd done it ten years ago. I am so grateful to Mr Ratnarajan and his team. Over the last six months I have had cataracts from both eyes removed and stents implanted under Mr Ratnarajan - one with the NHS at the QVH the other privately at the McIndoe Centre. I received impeccable care from Mr Ratnarajan. He was punctilious in explaining what was required and why, and gave me ample time to ask questions. In theatre the procedures he undertook were clearly explained, carried out with little discomfort and with sensitivity to my wellbeing. In his consulting room and in the theatre his manner is authoritative, affable and confidence inducing, with no hint of haste or the pressures beyond. On both public and private sides the procedures carried through have proved very successful, and I am delighted to commend unreservedly his modus operandi, the high standards of his professional commitment and his empathy in his patients' care. Mr Ratnarajan has recently operated on both my eyes (stents and cataracts), one under the NHS and one privately and for both operations the pre-care, actual operation and after care was exemplary. He made me feel totally without fear, my recovery was exceptionally speedy and I could not rate him more highly.
